Arke accounts are what you and hosts use to login to the Arke platform. It's a way for us to make sure you are who you say you are, as well as hosts are who they say they are.
Having an Arke account doesn't mean they can immediately invite visitors. They will first need to be mapped to a site to ensure their phone number is allowed to invite visitors to that site.
We have two ways of mapping a number to a site.
First, and most often used, is host provisioning through Net2 synchronisation. We allow a selection of Net2 departments to be selected and synced to our servers so we can welcome those hosts and allow them to invite visitors. You can find the synced departments in a site's Host settings.
Second, we allow the adding of Manual hosts. On the Hosts page in the Arke portal, if you have the right permissions, you can add a Manual host.
When a host logs in on the platform we then map the phone number of their Arke account to see if there's any mapping to a site. If we find a host mapping they can invite a visitor.
Things to note
- A user can only sign up for an Arke account once for a phone number, if there's already an account with that phone number the system will notify the user of this and a support case can be opened to free up the number.
