If the computer that is running the Arke software no longer has a connection to the internet, or if it no longer has a connection to the access control software, you and your residents will receive a notification informing you that the site is offline.
Quite often, the Arke software is installed on the same computer as the access control software, so this should be checked to ensure that the computer is on and running, with a working internet connection.
Once the computer is running with a working internet connection, the Arke software will reconnect and you and your residents will receive a notification again, saying that the connection is restored, typically within 5-10 mins of coming back online.
Please note that things like load shedding, internet outages, Net2 server stoppages and Windows updates all cause the client to disconnect and Arke to stop working.
Therefore the aim with the offline/online notifications is to say "something is going wrong with the connection at your estate, please investigate".
These notifications are also passed to the installation partners as advice, so that they can investigate outages and if needed, assist you with finding the cause for the connection issues.
