Arke provides a number of ways to communicate with the residents on your estate, which are accessed from the 'Conversations' tab on your Arke dashboard.
The 'Conversations' menu has two areas:
- Conversations: have a one-to-one conversation with a resident
- Community messages: send around notifications on policy, events or other general notices to all residents
Starting a new conversation
To start a new conversation with one of your residents, click the 'Hosts' tab on your Arke dashboard to see a list of all hosts on your estate with an Arke account.
Click on the name of the host you want to send a message to and then click the 'Send message' button on the top right to send the selected host a message.
Enter the subject for your message, type and edit the message in the empty field and then click the orange 'Send' button to send your message.
When a resident replies to your message, it becomes a conversation. You will then be able to find it and reply to it by going back to the 'Conversations' menu and selecting the 'Conversations' tab.
To see your previous and new conversations, click 'Conversations' in the 'Conversations' menu.
By clicking the 'Show' button, you can select to only see the open, the closed or all the conversations.
On the right side of the screen, you can continue conversations, by typing your text in the empty field below and clicking the orange button with the arrow to send.
You can also click the 'Mark as closed' icon on the top right of the page, to close the conversation.
To send out a message to all your residents, click 'Community messages' and then click the 'New message' button on the top right corner, to write and send out a community message.
Enter the subject for your message, type and edit the message in the empty field and then click the orange 'Send message to X hosts' button to send your message.
Before you send the message to you residents, you have the option to send a test version to one or multiple email addresses first, by clicking the blue 'Send test message' button.
Enter the email address(es) you want to send a test message to and make sure to press 'enter' to add the email address to your recipients list.
Then a sample of the message will be sent to these email address first.
When residents reply to your community message, it becomes a conversation.
You will then be able to find it and reply to it in the 'Conversations' list.
For every type of activity - a new conversation, a new community message or a reply on either one of them - you and your residents will receive an email notification, to let you know you got a message.
You and your residents can click the orange button in the email to view and respond to the message.
Please note: residents need an Arke account to receive emails. If you have residents at your estate without an Arke account (shown in red underneath the 'send message' button), our team can provide a list of their details so you can ask them to sign-up for an account.
